Anggun Cari Bintang Pantene All-Star Season 2012

For the 7th time already, P&G sets to have a new fresh face as their Pantene Star. This year, it’s an All-Star Season, inviting the finalists from the previous years to compete once again to win the prestigious title of Pantene Star / Bintang Pantene 2012.

This year will be the first time all activations and programs will be channeled into the Facebook Page, currently (as per today) with 334,000++ Fans on it. This is by far the biggest activation we have done so far.

When Mediacom called to say we were appointed to do it, it was like a dream coming true. We immediately said YES, WE DO to them and started working immediately.

Showcase & Aspire To Be A Star Engagement

There are two parts of the Activation: The Showcase that contains ALL THINGS ACBP 2012, and Aspire To Be A Star which is the Consumer Engagement Journey.

The activation has been launched on 5 May 2012 – we’re still in the earlier stages and will update you soonest with the numbers that matter!

Being parents, we know that we only want the best for our baby. And Pampers is our first choice when it comes to baby care & baby hygiene.

So, having tested the product itself and having been satisfied customers, we were very happy when the opportunity to become a digital agency partner to Pampers Indonesia came.

For this project, we work closely hand in hand with Mediacom, P&G’s current media agency.

The project itself is titled Pampers Indonesia Happy Moments Baby Photo Contest, as a part of Pampers’ 2012 Campaign: Happynesia, for a Happier Indonesia.

Mission: Impossible

When we were appointed to do Pampers Happy Moments, we had about a week to do EVERYTHING. From scratch to a fully operational photo contest application on Facebook Tab platform.

But Impossible is Nothing at our office, so yes, in a week’s time, the Happy Moments Baby Photo Contest by Pampers Indonesia Happynesia was ready to be launched.

Tremendous Engagement Explosion

At first, we set the KPI very low because the photo contest is limited to people living in Surabaya.

But soon we knew we hit the right button when we saw that the application garners very high amount of interest and a deep engagement from its participants.

Numbers that Matter

- 18,000+ New Likes on Pampers Indonesia Facebook Page

- 20,000+ Participants on the Photo Contest

- Ginormous number of votes: Over 50,000 votes have been cast since the beginning of the contest

- 1000% increase in the “Talking About This”

Oh wow. Oh wow. We love it when our engagement programs work well!!

Kecap Bango is one of the oldest Indonesian brands I’ve ever known existed. It’s also purely Indonesian. What is it, actually?

It’s a Sweet Soy Sauce…

Yes, it’s actually a sweet soy sauce. And it’s essential to Indonesian cuisine! I’ll say perhaps 70% of Indonesian dishes do use Kecap Bango. From the simplest Nasi Goreng to the more complex Semur, Kecap Bango is a crucial element in preparing an Indonesian dish.

…and it’s Essential in the traditional Indonesian Cuisine.

I remembered my university days in Germany: being the true Indonesian at heart as I have always been, I would be happiest when my lunch consisted of hot white steamed rice and Semur, or simply a plate of Nasi Goreng with Telor Ceplok Kecap (Sunny side up poured with sweet soy sauce). I even taught my German friends how to cook both.

So, having a bottle of Kecap Bango at home for me was a MUST. I would go through rain and storm to the Asia Shop in downtown Cologne NeuMarkt where I’d get a small bottle for € 6 (which is practically six times the price here in Indonesia, *le SIGH*). And I was personally almost like a brand ambassador for Bango in Germany – whenever I had my cooking class with German friends, when teaching them to cook Indonesian food, I’d recommend them to buy Kecap Bango.

Until now, I still use Kecap Bango when cooking at home.

The Soy Sauce Goes Digital

When we first started working with Unilever, we started off with a haircare brand. So a year later, I was surprised that we got the Kecap Bango digital, in partnership with McCann Digital. Our role in it is simple; McCann is the think-tank, we’re the production house.

But I was the one who found the name for the domain, though. The initial domain name they wanted was already taken and the owner asked for a ridiculous price to hand it over; so I had a sudden enlightenment and found the name: Warisan Kuliner as in warisankuliner.com

Warisan Kuliner

Warisan Kuliner literally means “Culinary Heritage”. Indonesian Culinary Heritage, of course.

The website itself is a portal to the discovery of Indonesian Culinary Heritage. It contains recipes, cooking videos and traditional food hawking vendors around Indonesia.

The Special Things on the Website

Well, first of all, it isn’t like all the fancy resto database sites or recipe directories we find nowadays.

Everything is about a taste of traditional Indonesian food, so we’re not going to list any international recipes or any fancy fusion restaurants – we want to stay true to its meaningful purpose which is the preservation of Indonesian Culinary Heritage.

You won’t find the recipes to make cupcakes or spaghettis here, just like you won’t find Ocha & Bella or BlueGrass Bar & Grill here.

Instead, you’ll find the recipes to make Semur Malbi, Sate Sapi Manis or even Gurame Bakar, just like you’ll find Mie Kocok Mang Dadeng or Nasi Uduk Babe H. Saman listed on the directory.

Ada Apa Di Dapurmu?

What’s also cute on this website is the “Recipe Finder Tool” we installed. Dubbed “Ada Apa Di Dapurmu?” (What’s In Your Kitchen?), this Recipe Finder will look up recipes for you based on the ingredients you pick.

You can pick:

- Main Ingredient

- Main Spice

- Additional Ingredient

- Cooking Method

And then you click “Find Recipe” to get the right combinations of how you should cook your fish or your poultry and with what spices.

Cool, innit?

From Zero to Hero

For this one campaign, we also started from ZERO. But 48 hours after its launching, the site seems to do VERY WELL! People are actually browsing it for recipes and addresses. WOW.

Well, that’s what you get when you do things with passion and love!

Imperial Leather is a family soap brand by PZ Cussons.

This brand has been around forever – I remember it from my childhood. It was the soap bar my mother used to buy.

Well, the new Imperial Leather was launched last year and they decided to enter the digital world.

McCann Digital, our longtime partner, chose us to work with them on this – McCann Group Worldwide is actually the advertising agency that has been taking care of all PZ Cussons accounts around the world.

Imperial Leather in UK has done a good job with their online activation, the “Skin Kind Share Your Kindness Daily” that lasted about six months until November 2011. But they had previously nurtured the Facebook Page so they didn’t start from zero.

Imperial Leather Indonesia’s first entrance in digital is with us. So yes, we had to start from zero.

So, after a couple of months’ work, the activation, the campaign package was ready to sail into the universe of world wide web. We didn’t only make a showcase of products, promotions and points of sales, but also a family photo contest dubbed “Momen Pelukanku”; which in Indonesian Bahasa means “My Hugging Moments”. Well, originally the concept used by Imperial Leather is “Snuggling” but there isn’t any correct word in Indonesian that translates to “Snuggling” correctly, so we twisted a bit about the word and came up with the domain pelukanku.com.

Helped by BTL Placements around the popular digital media suitable for the target market, Imperial Leather Indonesia’s entrance to the digital world has been great so far!

In less than a month, we accelerated the number of fans of the page from 0 to 2,500+ and still counting. Without any help from ATL Placements, we have reached this organic growth (meaning, we do NOT buy any fans whatsoever) on our own. Momen Pelukanku Contestants are very active and they’re committed. The engagement is hitting its target with full force.

This has proven us something: starting a digital campaign from nothing is not easy; but you have to know where to aim. We know we’ve aimed correctly on this one.

What is BolaGoGo.com ?

Well, it’s an online game where players guess scores for football matches.

They must follow the whole tournament and guess the right scores of each match to get points. Highest point collector gets a great prize.

BolaGoGo.com European Championship 2012

BolaGoGo.com premieres with European Championship 2012.

In this Premiere, we invite people to play along the European Cup Tournament in Poland and Ukraine, starting on 12 June 2012 and ending on 13 July 2012.

During approximately five weeks, players will be giving their guesses daily and try to collect as many points as possible from their rightly guessed scores of each football match within the competition.

There are great prizes to win: an iPhone 4S, iPod Shuffles & BolaGoGo.com merchandises.

Sorry for not updating the blog sooner – we had such two busy months in January and February 2012.

We have been working on the campaigns of..

- The biggest soy sauce brand in Indonesia’s Digital Plans 2012-2013.

The campaign idea is about preserving Indonesian culinary heritage.

It’s all about Indonesian food. Yum. Looking at the layout with pictures of our national dishes, we drool. We’ll let you know when it’s launched.

- The relaunch of a body care & hygiene brand – old player in Indonesia from UK, now with a new rebranding and new products.

We’ve been working on this one since September last year actually, and now it’s almost launched.

- Katy Perry #katyinjkt.

Our partners at FM Live organized the concert of Katy Perry – the California Dreams Tour 2012. We handled all things digital on the campaign.

- Another Hand Hygiene Brand.

This will be super exciting because we’re going to launch a dramatically engaging activation!

You must be between 21 and 26 years old, male/female, with good attitude & manner, proficient or excellent in English, love Adobe Fireworks and Illustrator, persuasive, communicative, and eager to learn more everyday. You must have a Facebook & Twitter page with active contents, preferably a Twitter account with a lot of followers.
