It’s gonna get messy

Friday, July 8th, 2011

Another flash project that was done in less than 12 hours!

So, on Wednesday one of our adv agency partners called and asked, “Would you like to do a quick project? It’s interesting – it’s for Carl’s Jr Indonesia.”

Why, yes of course we would! We really like the way their advertisement goes – it’s gonna get messy and stuff, the double-sens behind that slogan!

So off we went, got the deal ready within less than 2 days and less than 2 days to do the project – we started yesterday at 3 PM to 6 PM and by today 11 AM the FB App was ready to be reviewed. After some minor revisions (mostly on the layout) by 2:30 PM the FB App is ready to go live – just waiting for final approval from the client & the regional agency.

Fast…and no mess. :D

The App itself will continue expanding and growing.

Tiku.co.id: Best Tickets for Best Jakarta Concerts!

Sunday, June 26th, 2011

Hello!

After a busy June, we proudly announce the upcoming arrival of our latest in-house project: a ticketing portal called TIKU.CO.ID!

Why TIKU?  Well, it’s short for TIKETKU. My Tickets in Indonesian, actually. We want a domain that is simple and easy to remember so there you go.

Why Concert Tickets and not Flight Tickets? It’s because we’ve been doing some concert activations and we’ve got a partner who’s an expert in this domain; and we always say: do what you know to do best.

We don’t really know much about Flight Tickets to be honest, and we find that most airlines do such a good job already in their own system so why bother?

While, in Indonesia, there’s not really any reliable online concert ticket provider, plus, our partner’s got both his feet in it so let’s wrap up a business plan and execute!

The plan actually came up about one-and-a-half months ago, while we were sitting in his office one night.

So far, the site is about 80% done and the office in FX’ntertainment Centre is on the way.

Will update the blog for more info later on!

The BlackBerry RIM Indonesia Project

Wednesday, June 1st, 2011

Ever since BlackBerry entered the Indonesian market, the whole country got smitten by its wonders. Gradually, Indonesia is invaded by an extreme viral BlackBerry addiction, spreading from its biggest cities to even the smallest and most remote areas.

BlackBerry is the gadget that any decent person MUST HAVE in hand. It is teenagers’ wildest dreams to have one, a symbol of prestige for the working population, and an essential in networking and socializing activities.

Today, after merely 5 years of its launching in the Nusantara archipelago, BlackBerry is something more than common: you can see it everywhere, literally, in the hands of its devout users. Indonesia now possesses over 3 million active BlackBerry users, representing a large market of around 6% of total 50 million BlackBerry users in the world – and this number only increases rapidly each day.

It’s very interesting to see how BlackBerry quickly conquers the market – their products fit perfectly with the Indonesian market’s psychology – the need to connect with their peers at any moment, instantly. And if everywhere else around the world, BlackBerry device is identical with business and corporate people, in Indonesia it’s rather a social tool: everyone has it, regardless whether they are businessmen or not: teens, students, housewives, even the elderly – everyone is infected with the BlackBerry phenomenon.

So when BlackBerry creator the giant RIM (Research In Motion) from Canada finally set up an office in Jakarta around two months ago, we were excited and wishing that we would someday be able to work together with them.

And just last week, our wish came true!

Better-B, one of the best and the first Indonesian BlackBerry Developer companies contacted us. We have met them previously for Sunsilk FAB10 Project, and we really had some sort of matching chemistry – we really liked and appreciated them for their open-mindedness, wit and expertise in handling projects.

Alone in 2010 Better-B launched over 32 BlackBerry Application – hats off to that – and they are one of RIM Indonesia’s most trusted partner due to their prime quality and great personnel.

And that’s what we like – they are so professional and they understand their domain so well!

So their purpose in contacting us is to ask us to work with them in creating an online-based, Facebook-Apps CRM for licensed BlackBerry resellers under RIM’s 3 main distributors in Indonesia (TAM, ComTech and Selular Shop) to boost sales and help sellers understand BlackBerry better.

The project was only started last week and this week we’ve already gotten the confirmation we’re getting it – together with Better-B we’re working to fit the launching date in early July.

More news to come!

Ford & Allianz

Friday, May 20th, 2011

Did you know the story about Lara Jonggrang?

She was an ancient princess from the kingdom of Baka. Upon the marriage proposal by her enemy, she gave him a great task to erect 1,000 temples overnight – something nearly impossible.

Why am I talking about this folklore?

Well because in a joke with our client yesterday, we were talking about two different projects that we just got from him, and the deadline is next week on the first of June, which left us mere ten days to do them both – and both are quite complicated.

He said, “Yeah, this is a Lara Jonggrang project – we haven’t even gotten the layout ready and set yet but at least we know about the functionality we’re going to do. It’s the big picture that matters and even though it’s quite complicated I believe we can tackle it.”

Indeed the projects are quite big, involving some of things we have never explored into, previously, but ever since we’ve built up the winning formula almost two months ago, we always know what to do now.

What are the projects?

Ford & Allianz. Can’t tell you yet what’s up with those two but well, by the 8th of June you’ll find out anyway.

So, until next week it’s hard work at the office to deliver both Ford & Allianz projects…

Hello May! Hello Lifebuoy!

Wednesday, May 11th, 2011

We welcome May with a SMILE. :)

Lifebuoy project has just been confirmed and now we’re working on the interface!

The Lifebuoy Healthy Schooling Project mainly reaches on:

a. Schoolkids from 7 to 11 years old.

b. Young moms whose children are those schoolkids on point a (moms aged 24-35).

c. Teachers whose children are those schoolkids on point a.

The campaign mainly educates young children to take on a healthy habit which is to wash their hands five times a day, during a 21-day pledge.

Why? Because we want to educate the younger generation of Indonesia on how to make a healthy habit obligatory – not because their parents or teachers tell them to but because they are aware of the bigger health benefits this healthy hand-washing habit can create.

We are planning a lot of cute things to put on the site, since the audience will be children as well.

Will update you later – we’re not allowed to post the interface shot yet since the site isn’t out yet.

New Faces

Aside to that, there are new faces in the office. Hendra, the new dev, just joined us from Medan and Rina, the new social media manager, finally gets started.

More work coming!

Whew! More people in the house but we still in need of graphic designers – quality ones! So if you’re one, send us your CV, online portfolio (can also be in PDF) plus salary exp to info@idebaik.com – we’ll go on from there.

Cheers!

LA Dance Republic is back :)

Friday, April 29th, 2011

Our partner Front Network has come back with their annual LADR campaign.

What is LA Dance Republic?

It’s actually a series of events first started back in 2008. Consisting mostly of club parties and rave festivals, it has seen artists such as Paul van Dyk, Major Lazer, Ferry Corsten, Chocolate Puma, Above & Beyond and many more coming to Jakarta.

The events are endorsed by LA Menthol Lights, thus the name LA Dance Republic.

LADR 2011

In its 4th year, LADR is back once again.

This time it’s about playing games to win the title as PARTY KING/QUEEN – invite as many friends as possible to join the site and then you can win a night of party full of first-class treatment: get picked up by a Hummer, invite up to 4 friends to party with you, VVIP sofa and bottle in X2…

And all that done online!

We’ve been activating the Twitter and Facebook as well. The only constraint about this project is that we don’t have enough time :( Merely 10 days left to grab as many users as possible…and we’re doing our best! Cross fingers!

Check the site at www.ladancerepublic.com –> only if you love to party!

Sunsilk FAB10 Digital Activation

Tuesday, April 19th, 2011

After a couple of months of work, the website Sunsilk.co.id was launched – and followed soon after by the Digital Activation titled “SUNSILK FAB10″.

The goal of this activation is to educate people about using Sunsilk Conditioner, and by engaging them in the program, they will become Sunsilk ambassadors of their own. One best girl will win a trip to Paris Fashion Week.

Nice, innit? Well, we worked so hard due to (yet again) short deadlines but everything’s up since yesterday, as well as the TVC + print media advertisements. Digital Media placements start this weekend.

Collaboration between Unilever, MSI and us, idebaik :)

We will back around next week with stats about this campaign.
